What Makes Our Christian Counseling Different

We’re professionally trained therapists. We have graduate degrees in counseling and clinical training in evidence-based therapy. We take both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of healing seriously.

We don’t use faith as a band-aid. We won’t tell you to “just pray more” or “have more faith” when you’re struggling with clinical depression or trauma. Faith is a resource, but so is good therapy. We integrate all available tools.

We create space for doubt and struggle. You don’t have to have perfect faith or pretend everything is fine. We honor wherever you are in your spiritual journey: questions, anger, doubt, and all.

We address mental health directly. We understand that anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions are medical issues, not spiritual failures. You’re not struggling because you lack faith, you’re struggling because you’re human and sometimes humans need help.

We respect different theological perspectives. We work with Christians from various denominations and traditions. We won’t impose our specific theological views and will honor yours.

We integrate psychology and theology thoughtfully. We don’t see faith and psychology as competing, we see them as complementary. God created our minds and emotions, and understanding how they work doesn’t diminish faith; it deepens our appreciation for how God designed us.

We never force faith into sessions. If you want faith-based counseling, we integrate it meaningfully. If you prefer to keep faith and therapy separate, we respect that too. You’re always in control of this aspect of your treatment.
